The property lies in a secluded location about two miles from Holsworthy which offers a good range of local shops and amenities, including a large Waitrose supermarket. The popular coastal resort of Bude is close by and wider ranges of shopping facilities are offered in the larger towns of Launceston and Bideford.

Planning permission was granted on 18 May 2016 for the new dwelling to be built as a replacement of the original timber cabin. Works have started on the build and footings have been erected.

The proposed dwelling will have Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, Office, Utility Room, Wet Room and Bedroom with disabled access and Ensuite Bathroom on the ground floor, with Three Further Bedrooms and Two Bathrooms on the first floor.
